Tony Valenza

Pitching & Hitting Trainer/Coach

Tony, a right-handed pitcher and first baseman, graduated from Plainfield North High School in 2023. He has been working with Coach Mark Sheehan since seventh grade and is a proud original member of the Canes Illinois family. Currently, Tony is attending Saint Xavier University, where he plays for their nationally ranked NAIA baseball program. He is pursuing a degree in Exercise Science with the goal of establishing a career in the baseball industry.

In the offseason, Tony serves as a Pitching Instructor and Coach with the Canes Illinois Youth program. With years of training under Coach Sheehan and his deep familiarity with the Canes’ system since his 14U days, Tony is passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping young athletes develop their skills on and off the field.
