Mark Sheenan
Founder
Mark Sheehan has trained extensively with Dr. Tom House, a former MLB pitcher and renowned pitching coach, who is also the founder of the National Pitching Association (NPA) and the Rod Dedeaux Research Baseball Institute (RDRBI) at USC. In 2015, Coach House appointed Mark as the National Director of the NPA, a position he held until 2017 before establishing his own venture, Evolution Athletics Baseball. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to baseball coaching, Mark was honored with the 2014 Teaching Professional of the Year Award by the Collegiate Baseball News at the ABCA Annual Convention in Orlando.
Mark’s commitment to science-based instruction is evident in his collaboration with the Institute of Sports Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Midwest Orthopedics, where he provided evidence-based coaching and rehabilitation services to pitchers at all levels. His expertise extends beyond coaching young athletes; Mark has also been involved with USA Baseball’s NTIS (National Team Identification Series) program, coaching the Great Lakes Region teams, and with Caliendo International Sports, where he coached 15U-17U teams on international tours.
One of the most respected and sought-after coaches in the sport, Coach Sheehan brings a wealth of experience training pitchers from Little League to MLB levels. His influence reaches beyond players, as he has mentored numerous MLB and collegiate pitching coaches and consulted with four MLB teams in recent years.
