Kyle Kolb
Owner – Director of Player Development
Kyle graduated from Roanoke-Benson High School in 2015, where he was a standout on the varsity baseball team all four years. During his senior year, he batted an impressive .521, which earned him a spot at Waubonsee Community College. After two successful years, Kyle transferred to Trinity Christian College, where he excelled on the field, earning All-American honors as a shortstop with a .449 batting average and 26 extra-base hits.
Following his collegiate career, Kyle transitioned into coaching as an assistant at Ave Maria University (NAIA) in the highly competitive SUN Conference. His primary responsibilities included working with hitters and infielders, as well as recruiting talented athletes. Through his coaching experience, Kyle built strong connections with college coaches across all divisions and developed valuable relationships with professional scouts.
In the summer of 2021, Kyle served as the Head Coach for the Royal Oak Leprechauns in the MLB-affiliated Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. There, he coached numerous Power 5 and mid-major Division 1 players, utilizing his coaching skills to help further their development and prepare them for professional baseball.
Kyle has been involved with the Canes organization in a coaching and training capacity since 2021. He is passionate about mentoring Canes Illinois players, guiding them through the recruiting process, and connecting athletes with colleges. His commitment to player development extends beyond the field, as he works closely with players and their families to navigate the complexities of college recruitment.
Outside of baseball, Kyle is a Business Development Professional at Sun Chemical, supporting the North America Packaging and Graphics Division.
