Cherise Hiss
Director of Softball
Coach Hiss began her collegiate softball career at Lake Land College in Illinois where she had a .357 BA. She helped lead the Lakers to two regional titles and an NJCAA National Championship appearance in 2013 and 2014 where they finished in the final four and top eight in the nation. Coach Hiss was named to the 2013 NJCAA Division I Region 24 All-Freshman Team, as well as the NJCAA Division I Region 24 All-Tournament Team and NJCAA Division I National Tournament Team. In 2014 she transferred to the University of Indianapolis and spent her remaining two seasons with the Greyhounds softball program as a relief pitcher. The Greyhounds made an appearance in the 2015 Division II World Series and won two regular season Conference Championships while there. Coach Hiss began her coaching debut in 2017 at Brownsburg High School as the varsity assistant and pitching/defense coach. Their pitching staff helped lead the team to a semi-state championship game in 2019. Coach Hiss took over as the head softball coach in 2020-2021. Coach Hiss was recently named the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Coach of the Year for the 2024 High School Season.
