TRYOUTS OPEN
Tryouts
Canes Iowa tryouts consists of the following items to be evaluated in order to be placed on a team:
- 40-60yd dash
- 5-10-5 agility shuttle
- Infield drills
- 8 ground balls (4 straight on, 2 back hands, 2 glove side)
- Catching technique (stance, receiving, throw down and blocking)
- Pitching Mechanics (Bull pen, form, velocity, and accuracy)
- Hitting mechanics on hittrax units (Form, and exit velocity recorded from front toss)
- Maximum Velocity pulldowns- players will try to create as much velocity on their throw as they can and the top score will be recorded.
